“I had this idea of me standing in the hallway of my apartment and doing slow motion video combined with one of those instagram face filters. I sped up the song and sang along with the sped up version, so I can slow it down later on. As for the Instagram star filter, I recorded the sped up version of it on a monitor screen. After that, I combined the two videos and connected the instagram clips since you are only allowed to film 15 second. At the end, the blood symbolizes the shots that were shooting at me every time the crash cymbal was hit.”

Lyrics:
Remember how
We used to jump the shades
Such a joy
In the gravity play
Yes I know
It may sound the same
But each of one
Is different face
On the mountain top
Cause you know the place
I’ll meet you up
But we can rearrange
Yes I know
It may sound the same
But each of one
Is different face
Lights out may help
Cause lights out are the best
With you
“Rudy” Official Music Video
“Rudy” and three other singles from upcoming album called “Closet Leftovers” are now available to listen and download on all major stores!! –> http://hyperurl.co/RudySingle
“Rudy” was written about 6 years ago and was inspired by a girl I met once. I had chords and a melody written beforehand and the words came quickly to me. This girl had shown me how she rolls her cigarettes, which was inspiration for the lyrics “And if I go ; Roll one for me; Cigarettes you used to smoke; Hope you will quit”. Although some of the lyrics were based on real scenarios, the whole idea of the song is more of an imagination. I took some of the details of this brief non-intimate meeting and created a story. –> Press Release
Lyrics:
Oh Rudy in your eyes
Oh Rudy in your heart
Oh Rudy in you mind
Stay always on my side
And if I go
Roll one for me
Cigarettes you used to smoke
Hope you will quit
And if I die
Bury me so deep under all our lies
Hope you will quit
Oh Rudy talk to me
With your fluent Japanese
Oh Rudy in your mind
Stay always on my side
And if I go
Roll one for me
Cigarettes you used to smoke
Hope you will quit
And if I die
Bury me so deep under all our lies
Hope you will quit
Fourth and final single “Lights Out”
Over the course of the year, singer-songwriter Tender Glue has released 3 singles leading up to the “Closet Leftovers” album release and is now set to release the fourth and final single “Lights Out” on Friday 1st June. —-> http://smarturl.it/LightsOut-Single
During the writing process of this last single “Lights Out”, Tom explains how he was strumming the same unusual chords pattern that he had already used for 2 other songs. He then started singing, “Yes I know, it may sound the same, but each of one is different face”, as he realized the song had the same sound but was written at a different time. This single, as Tom describes, ended up being about a recollection of past days and experiencing life together until our lights go out. Along with his other songs, this track was recorded in the closet of Tom’s studio apartment, concluding the last of the four singles released from the album. Press Release

Five minutes before going to work, I started playing my guitar and wrote down the lyrics, not really thinking about anything (I ended up almost late to work that day). Later on I realized that the part of the lyrics when I say “I’m so slow, I can barely see”, had to do with the time I lost partial vision for a moment, probably due to an unhealthy lifestyle. At that time in my life, I wanted to get healthier, so for me it’s about that. During the recording process, I sat down in my closet/recording studio, and started with vocals and guitar in the same take. Then I added the second guitar, drums, and bass. The whole process took a few days because I was only able to mix part of it when I had the time. Usually it was late, after work around 3am. –> Press Release
Lyrics:
Come walk to me
I’m so slow I can barely see
With you here
Feels like I’m in conscious dream
So stay with me
I’m ok I’ll always be
With you here
Feels like I’m in conscious dream
With you here
