It has been a while but it’s finally here. New album is out! “Not so Very Nice” is mostly an accumulation of meaner songs that I wrote in different perriots of my life. I wanted this album to represent the blue collar and hard working people, punch in – punch out kind of struggle.
“Sad Sometimes” starts off with a negative tone of dark thoughts and the pointlessness of everything, but quickly resolves with a slower, more positive ending. The second part of the song gradually emerges into a more comforting feeling that even though there are times when nothing makes sense, there are still many important little things that lift my spirit and happiness that I want to concentrate on more often.
Sometimes I wanna kill myself But someday Iâm gonna die anyway So why wouldnât I just stay for a while
What the point of this When nothing gonna be mine What they screaming for For me itâs only big lie And then you showed me love For us to just simply die
Iâm just waiting on Line
So I think to get comfort Of the little things passing by They can often bite your own soul But at the end youâll be fine
So I think to get comfort Of the little things passing by They can often bite your own soul But at the end youâll be fine
This one is kind of funny take on immaturity of some man – not in a derogatory way. At the end of the day, all we ever need is love, even “Simple Boys”.
As an uneducated immigrant who came to this country with no money or knowledge of English in my teenage years, the US quickly showed me where my place is. The verses represent this sort of way of being mistreated and the chorus describes that no matter what life throws at me, Iâll always stand my ground and âcarry on with my sweetest tone”.

“I had this idea of me standing in the hallway of my apartment and doing slow motion video combined with one of those instagram face filters. I sped up the song and sang along with the sped up version, so I can slow it down later on. As for the Instagram star filter, I recorded the sped up version of it on a monitor screen. After that, I combined the two videos and connected the instagram clips since you are only allowed to film 15 second. At the end, the blood symbolizes the shots that were shooting at me every time the crash cymbal was hit.”

Lyrics:
Remember how
We used to jump the shades
Such a joy
In the gravity play
Yes I know
It may sound the same
But each of one
Is different face
On the mountain top
Cause you know the place
Iâll meet you up
But we can rearrange
Yes I know
It may sound the same
But each of one
Is different face
Lights out may help
Cause lights out are the best
With you

“Rudy” was written about 6 years ago and was inspired by a girl I met once. I had chords and a melody written beforehand and the words came quickly to me. This girl had shown me how she rolls her cigarettes, which was inspiration for the lyrics “And if I go ; Roll one for me; Cigarettes you used to smoke; Hope you will quit”. Although some of the lyrics were based on real scenarios, the whole idea of the song is more of an imagination. I took some of the details of this brief non-intimate meeting and created a story. –>Press Release
Lyrics:
Oh Rudy in your eyes
Oh Rudy in your heart
Oh Rudy in you mind
Stay always on my side
And if I go
Roll one for me
Cigarettes you used to smoke
Hope you will quit
And if I die
Bury me so deep under all our lies
Hope you will quit
Oh Rudy talk to me
With your fluent Japanese
Oh Rudy in your mind
Stay always on my side
And if I go
Roll one for me
Cigarettes you used to smoke
Hope you will quit
And if I die
Bury me so deep under all our lies
Hope you will quit
Brooklyn’s Tender Glue premieres ‘Goodbye Bushwick’ and plays The City Reliquary on 8/26
Today, we are premiering Brooklyn indie-folk act Tender Glue latest single âGoodbye Bushwickâ (streaming below) off forthcoming new album âSteady Light.â Sounding out curling atmospherics that recall Kurt Vileâs great 2011 release âSmoke Ring from My Haloâ from a few years back, the guitar-based track is also, impressively, a poetic paean of days gone by in the tradition of none other than Dylan or Cohen.
Brooklyn-based indie artist Tender Glue is releasing a new album Steady Light later this month. Weâre excited to be premiering âWestâ right here on GroundSounds. The song confidently sways and flows at an ambling pace. The soulful vocals and contemplative vibe prove to be particularly effective at evoking emotion from the listener.
