New album “Smutne Usterki o Miłości” is out now

This album was a surprise for me. I never thought I could write in Polish, but after releasing “Rozumiem Wiem,” I gave myself a challenge: to write eight more songs and release a full Polish album, which I completed in just two weeks.

Every day before noon, I would go outside, close my eyes, and face the sun in a kind of meditation. Then I’d come back in and try to write. I read somewhere that sunlight like this can boost creativity and maybe it did.

This approach was new to me. I used to only write when inspiration struck out of nowhere, but this process taught me that you can actually invite the spark in. You can create space for it to show up.

“Smutne Usterki o Miłości” is that album. A collection of quiet, broken pieces about love and all the beautiful flaws that come with it.

Czuły Klej – Symuluj Jeszcze Raz

“Symuluj Jeszcze Raz” is my favorite song from the album, not just because it’s the only one that isn’t a silly love song, but because it holds a much deeper connection for me, both in how it was created and what it’s about. Originally, it was meant to be a completely different track for the Tender Glue project. One day, I started playing bass over it, even though the bass line wasn’t in the same key. That unexpected moment pushed me to rework everything, and over time, it turned into this haunting, atmospheric sound. I ended up freestyling the vocals in a single take. The lyrics were inspired by an experience I had after accidentally taking too much of an edible. It made me question reality in a very real way, like maybe this life is actually a simulation. But that’s a story for another time.

Czuły Klej – Hej Julia

“Hej Julia” was my attempt at writing a Polish version of my English song “Rudy.” I started with the same chord progression, and the lyrics and melodies just came to me quickly. At first, I was singing “Hej Julia” with the Polish pronunciation, but then I started debating with myself whether I should pronounce Julia the English way instead.

That made me think of the song Jenny by Edyta Bartosiewicz, where she sings the name with the English pronunciation. That became a kind of image to this song.

“Hej Julia” is a bittersweet reflection on a past relationship, offering a heartfelt goodbye and a wish for someone to find the carefree, colorful life they were searching for.

Czuły Klej – Jedna Na Milion

“Jedna na Milion” is about looking for that rare, one in a million connection – the kind of love that feels almost impossible, like winning the lottery. The verses reflect vulnerability paired with quiet determination, set against a dreamy scenario like being her cowboy on the prairie. It’s a song about holding on to hope, even when the picture fades, because somewhere out there, that one in a million is still waiting.

Czuły Klej – To Ja i My

Written from the perspective of someone standing at the edge of emotional exhaustion, the song explores vulnerability – asking, “How do you tell someone it’s over when you’re still holding on?” The repetition of “To ja i my – stracone dni” (“It’s me and us – the lost days”) underscores the shared moments that are now nothing more than memories. It’s a song about emotional distance, regret, and ultimately, the faint hope that maybe one day things could still get better, even if it means letting go.

Czuły Klej – Ostatni Śnieg

“Ostatni Śnieg” was the latest song written for the new album but the first – and quickest – to be produced. I made the decision to share the song while working on the other tracks and with the end of the winter season upon us, it seemed like the perfect time to share it. It’s a silly tune in the perspective of a person asking his/her vacation fling to stay longer and eventually, the whole year. Since winter is ending soon the song becomes this sort of loop that turns a fling into love.

Czuły Klej – Rozumiem Wiem

“Rozumiem Wiem” is the first and only Polish song I ever wrote about 15 years ago. This song will be part of a new project I’ve created called Recycled Tracks. Recycled Tracks is music released in form of single where artist/band donate one of the songs for a cause of they choice. %100 of royalties and download profit will be donated every year. 👉https://fanlink.tv/RozumiemWiem
